Technical Sharing | Common Structures of Low-Loss Phase-Stable Coaxial Cables

2026-09-20

Low-loss phase-stable cable is a high-tech product in the RF cable field, using microporous PTFE insulation, silver-plated copper tape wrap and braided outer conductor, and an FEP jacket to achieve low loss, high phase stability, and high output.

Outer conductor: a two-layer structure of silver-plated copper tape winding plus silver-plated soft round copper wire braid. The winding incidence angle is precisely controlled and a larger outer diameter is used to reduce bending effects.

Inner conductor: designed per national standard parameters, considering both mechanical requirements and the skin effect of RF signals for efficient surface transmission.

Insulation: manufacturing temperature and humidity are specified through product design, with digitally processed process data ensuring consistent, excellent wrap quality.

Phase-stable cables suit precision systems requiring high phase consistency, such as test and measurement, radar, and satellite applications.
